Zimbabwe bowlers impress despite loss to Proteas in second ODI
The Zimbabwe Chevrons failed to capitalise on another terrific display by their bowlers as they fell to a 120-run defeat at the hands of South Africa in the second one-day international match between the two neighbours played at the in Bloemfontein last night.
After bundling the home side out for 198, the tourists had seemingly put themselves in a good position to level the three-match series. But an erratic pitch turned out to be a huge factor as Proteas bowler Dale Steyn, who scored his maiden ODI half-century, completed his man-of-the-match performance with a two-wicket haul. The bowling honours, however, belonged to Proteas spinner Imran Tahir who took six wickets, including a hat-trick, as Zimbabwe folded for 78 to hand South Africa victory as well as the series with a match to go.
