I’m one of the best farmers: ED
President Emmerson Mnangagwa says his farm in Kwekwe ranks as one of the best in the country due to use of modern technologies.
Mnangagwa owns Pricabe Farm in Sherwood, Kwekwe, which he said was one of the best run, attributing that to technology.
He was speaking after touring Razim Agri- Power, an agriculture equipment specialist in Harare on Wednesday.
“I want to embrace agriculture technology for the betterment of production first on my farm as an example. I continuously want to interrogate the latest technology in the agriculture sector which can help both to mechanise as well as to modernise agriculture in our country” he said.
“It is my personal view that I must also walk the talk as a farmer, and if you ask Mr Keith Lowe he will tell you I have most of the equipment you see here.”
Mnangagwa said latest technologies have made his land very productive and output continues to grow each and every year as technologies advance.
“My farm is very productive, not that I want to praise myself but I think I am correct because people say so and because year to year I can see productivity in terms of yields going up.”
