Dynamos fire head coach
…Mutasa, Ndiraya on the radar
Dynamos Football club has fired its head coach, Lloyd Chigowe, after a poor start to the new season with fans tipping former coach, Lloyd Mutasa or Tonderai Ndiraya with an emotional return to the club.
Striker Edward Sadomba and club manager, Richard Chihoro, will lead the technical team in the interim.
Club chairman, Isaiah Mupfurutsa, said the executive took the decision to fire ‘Mablanyo’ following a string of poor results in the Castle Lager premiership campaign.
The loss to Herentals was the last nail on Chigowe and his entire technical team as fans threatened to manhandle the gaffer after the match.
“We have parted ways with him and his entire technical team, the two assistants and the goalkeepers’ coach. We will have a new coach in the next few days. We have a number of options that are there. We are yet to settle on anyone but in the next few days we will be able to know,” Mupfurutsa said.
The club chairman apologised to the fans for the team current poor performance
The Harare giants have managed only one win in the opening four matches.
They were also beaten 2-nil by Highlanders in the Uhuru Cup last week.
