Difficult environment derails OK Zimbabwe promotions
Retail giant, OK Zimbabwe has with immediate effect stopped its reward based promotions citing “difficult supply environment”.
This comes as consumers are reportedly hoarding goods in supermarkets, desperate to spend money stashed in their bank accounts.
In a statement, OK Zimbabwe said the decision to stop the on-going reward promotions was regrettable, announcing that the promotions will be closed “with immediate effect.”
“OK Zimbabwe regrets to inform all its valued customers that due to the increasingly difficult supply environment, they will be closing all their Rewards based promotions early,” the statement read in part.
“The promotions will be closed with immediate effect and all customers who have reached the required thresholds set for each promotion by the closing date, will be awarded the earned Reward due to them, upon receipt of stocks.”
Reward-based promotions are defined as those that offer shopper incentives to encourage purchase or action.
“The three Reward Promotions which are impacted by this move are detailed as OK Shop Easy Club, Bon Marche Apple Club OK Mart Rainbow Club,” the statement read.
