Botswana’s new President Mokgweetsi Masisi has reassured his government’s commitment to deepening bilateral ties with Zimbabwe.
President Masisi was speaking to journalists after a meeting President Emmerson Mnangagwa at Munhumutapa.
“We came to reassure President Mnangagwa of our bilateral relations and commitment to improve and deepen them. I came here to pay my respect. I am going back, better than I came here.”
President Masisi says they will be collaboration between the ruling Botswana Democratic Party and ZANU PF.
He said during the second half of this year will be coming to Zimbabwe on a state visit after accepting President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s invitation. President Masisi took over from former President, Ian Khama at the begining of this month.
