In a statement announcing the new appointment, Africa Albida Tourism Chairperson Dave Glynn said they were confident Kennedy’s inclusion to the group was going to improve their services.

“His experience in Zanzibar and a host of other countries in the hotel industry makes him ideally qualified for our existing needs and aspirations.  We look forward to his positive impact,” Glynn said.

The newly appointed general manager said he was going to use his experience to ensure that tourists and guests have memorable experiences.

“It is an honour to be joining the Africa Albida Tourism group, and I intend to use my 16 years of international hospitality experience and knowledge to assist in ensuring the group providing guests with the most memorable experiences the region has to offer,” he said.

Kennedy has also worked in management roles in the hospitality industry in countries such as Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Dubai and Zanzibar.

African Albida Tourism has its footprint in other countries in the region including Botswana, Namibia and Kenya.

In 2017, Africa Albida Tourism’s Victoria Falls Safari Lodge was crowned the Best Resort Hotel for the 21st year in a row by the Association of Zimbabwe Travel Agents.
